Hello! My name's Melody! I'm a 27 year old white trans woman who likes to have fun.I'm a butch lesbian and Jera (jeraspat) is my awesomely talented and wonderful partner! Here are some fun facts about me:

  • I love cartoons, so many in fact. To keep it simple though, my top eleven would be: Mighty B (THIS ONE ESPECIALLY. You'll know we're friends if I feel comfortable talking about this show constantly with you), Kiff, Scooby-Doo, Jellystone, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Rocko's Modern Life, Teacher's Pet, CatDog, Chowder, Arthur and Pink Panther

  • My birthday's September 15

  • I live in Maine

  • My favorite food is pan pizza

  • I have a bull terrier fursona, named Melody the Butch Terrier (the butch terrier part was coined by my friend Wulf!)

  • Love R&B and disco, and 80s music in general. I'm not picky though, I love all types of music

  • I enjoy writing poetry and comedic stories! Sometimes I'll post them on Ao3, link below

  • I love Food Network shows

  • I'm an experienced genealogist and researcher of general subjects, so if you need help feel free to ask me

  • I'm also a wiki editor, so if you've seen Samantha Violet on Fandom/Wikia, that's me. I mostly maintain and add things to the Mighty B Wiki.

My Discord username is the same as most of my socials, however I tend to decline friend requests for people I don't know/recognize so if your Discord handle is different from what I know you as on other places it'd be wise to tell me ahead of time so I don't reject it!

Standard DNI criteria applies (no racists, transphobes, homophobes, ableists, etc.) Generally speaking, just don't be a bigoted shithead and we should get along okay.Proshippers and babyfurs will be blocked if they interact with me.I'm fine with occasional NSFW, but if you post a lot of it (especially if it's untagged) I probably won't follow you.

Making this Scooby-Doo watchlist in order to stay on track for what I've seen as an adult. Much of this I hadn't seen since childhood so I decided to start from the beginning. A listing of the strongest five episodes per season will be listed after analyses of the series.

  • Where Are You! (17/25) - Where Are You! is remarkably assured and confident as the franchise's first outing, it's no wonder the show was an immediate hit when it came out. Even the pilot episode is already set in the classic Scooby formula and does well at introducing the gang. The majority of gags are still funny over 50 years later and it actually doesn't look as terrible as one might expect in high definition. The color palettes pop and give off a lot of life, definitely cluing you in this was a late 60s/early 70s production. It's amazing how you instantly fall in love with this series and can feel the chemistry the gang all have, even if they don't have an official backstory here of how they met. The only major issues I have with the show is its racist depictions of Native Americans (I recommend skipping Decoy for a Dognapper because that episode is really heavy on anti-Native stereotyping) and the Romani (there is an anti-Romani caricature in the form of a fortune teller referred to by the g slur in A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts). I feel a fair warning is in place for A Night of Fright is No Delight, about a deceased Confederate bequeathing money to Scooby, a plot they unfortunately reused in Boo Brothers years later. All that being said, it overall aged better than I thought it would which is more than I expected.
